Favorite Character: James "Ghost" St. Patrick

My recent favorite character is James St. Patrick, aka Ghost. He is the main character from the series Power and he stands out greatly from characters in other stories. He is an ambitious man who strives for success and longevity as a businessman and father. However, this pursuit of success involves a tumultuous lifestyle of drug trafficking and gang violence. While tensions rise with his family. relationships, and gang affiliates, he desires to sever ties with the street life, and live a prosperous lifestyle with full control over his destiny.

Ghost's journey to a clean life raises tension on others lifestyles, as former friends turn to bitter enemies, one relationship ends while another awakens, and everlasting danger that could put him and his family at a legal or life-threatening risk. His traits often presents a stoic and assertive expression. Many aspects of this are shown through his fast pacing and heavy glare with subtle physical movements. This sets the tone of how dangerous and serious he is, while simultaneously embodying the archetype of an ghost.
